Beta cyclodextrin is a kind of white crystalline powder from tapioca starch by effect of glucosyltransferase.
Its unique cavity structure is constructed by 7 dextroses connecting together via Î± -1.4 bonds.
Outer side of the cavity keeps strong hydrophilic characteristics; Then inner side of the cavity keeps hydrophobic characteristics. It can entrap many kinds of guest molecules into their internal, particularly to entrap oil form substance and form inclusion complexes.
